I'm Back

I had a great Christmas Break but its back to REALITY(WORK) for me!
I got 50$ from my Grandma for Christmas and its going directly to SA$
1/3/08- 51.50 sa$ = 557.21
1/1/08- 483.00 rent
1/2/08- 379.00 car
1/3/08- 10.00 Donation

Now having my 50$ padding in my checking account keeps me much more comfortable snowflaking to my sa$ plan and it really feels like its melting away:)
I'm super excited for 2009 =)

My dad's side party was this past Sunday so we have my sisters and parents tomorrow night and then my mom's side on Christmas day! I love Christmas and I am so happy to get out of it with ZERO DEBT! YAY...last year I charged EVERYTHING!!! Then if that's not bad enough I took the Christmas Bonus and spent it on myself... :( OWELL thats the past never going back!
My Car Insurance was deducted from my accound for 83$
My Check to my church 10$

One thing always leads to another

That snowflaking that went to my SA$ (Same as cash) plan was posted I officially owe 627.00 and another 7.00 should be posted next Monday! Slow and steady... :)

Also my production this month at work is going very well I have been so motivated lately I believe its because suddenly my debt is shrinking and more of the money is going to the right places so I don't feel guilty I feel free and creative. Its like a cycle of good really...the better I feel they better I do at work the more money I can send to my debts the faster I'll crawl out of the hole I dug.

Also I have a house sitting gig for the weekend after new years that will dump another 50$-70$ on the debt train...woooo woooh

Getting the ball rolling

So yesterday I failed to mention I'm "rollin" on a little less than 20$ and a trip to Subway (which I'm trying to cut down on eating out) will set me just below 15$ till tomorrow when I get paid at 8am. Although as of last week decided to transfer the 50$ that was in my ING savings account (that cannot seem to break 100$ before I need to transfer it back) to my savings account that is connected to my checking account. My new plan that I stole from another PF blogger that I can't quite remember is to keep a padding in my account whenever it gets past 100$ that amount goes to the ING account(along with 5$ that gets transfered there every paycheck) then I will always have 100$ close to my checking incase I ever need to transfer it quickly. With ING it takes about 2 business days to transfer with my National City account about 2 seconds.

So tomorrow my check is with my commission check which this month happens to be 450$ its normally about 300$ YAY! So the total I'm hoping is about 1,040$

Payments being made from this check:
Best Buy $200
Cap1 $20
Amazon $17
Overstock $27
BB Mstrcrd $15
Younkers $11

These are all minimum payments and the rest is going to BEST BUY!

Car Insurance $83
Student Loan $100
Att Bill (internet) $18

One Goal I'd like to get rolling on is paying my rent a paycheck early...the thought of that sounds great!

In the beginning...

I am a 24 year old woman working a full time job with goals beyond infinity. I have been reading personal finance blogs for about a year and am overdue to begin one of my own. Please bare with me I am new to the blogging world and if anyone has any comments or changes I could make I welcome constructive criticism on my personal finance life as well as the blog itself.

So here is the Ugly Truth:
Car- $16,800 ish (depending how the interest hits me)
Student Loans- $7,500

Credit Cards (Here is the killer- I can't believe I'm publicizing this )
Best Buy(Store Card) 2,225.00
Same As Cash Plan 800.00 due by June 9th, 2009 (This is my focus)
Overstock (Chase) 1,058.00
Amazon(Chase) 679.00
HSBC 918.00
Younkers 358.00
Best Buy(Mastercard) 241.00
Capital1 474.00
Total 5,953.00

I make about 1,700$ a month. I've been trying to snowflake every last cent to my same as cash plan because if it is not paid in full by June I owe a ton of accumulating interest. So that is the plan for now! I am making a payment when I get my check on Thursday for 200.00 with a minimum payment of 46.00 to the card so there around 150.00 going to the same as cash plan! Other than that all my other cards are getting there minimum payments. I am on time with all of my payments...I'm just trying to get rid of this debt and stay on time.

Monthly Expenses include the Following:

Rent 463$ (Includes Cable)
Car 380$ (YES this is a huge burden but a necessary evil)
Food 80$ (I go home frequently to my parents and they give me groceries)
Gas 100$ (Lately with the low prices before it was around 150$)
Student Loan 100$
Car Insurance 86$
Electric 20$ (split with roommate)
Internet 18$ (split with roommate)
Verizon 60$ (family plan trying to get on my own plan soon)
Charity 30$ (ON my way up from 10$ a month :)

1,337$
CCards 300$ month
Total 1,637$ month

My Plan is:
Same as Cash Plan
Pay off- Younkers and Best Buy Mastercard with Tax Refund
Take out the HSBC card it has the highest Interest
Then the Chase's
Then Cap1
Then Finish My Car:)

Future Goals:
Emergency Fund of 5,000
Laser Eye Surgery
Down Payment for a House
To Infinity and Beyond (LOVE BUZZ)

UPDATE- Aug 20th,2009
