Get Rich Slowly has a great post today on how to replace bad financial habits and that we should all figure out what are triggers to spend really entail. I feel that one of my triggers is being bored and deciding to go to target or the mall. Lately I've chose to go to my apt complex fitness center its nothing extravagant but hopping on the elliptical or the tread mill and listening to my ipod is not only free but great for my heart and my love handles ;)

Very Frugal Weekend

I went home for the weekend to spend time with my family and ended up spending 0$
It wasn't a thought out plan...but when I realized it driving home yesterday I was very excited.

My plan for next weekend should be also very frugal since I will be house sitting and that money will be directly going to my SA$ account. So hopefully I will be able to have another 0$ weekend.

This is starting to look very good for me!!

2009 is Here

With 2009 staring me in the face there is no choice than to stand up and make my Goals reality. Getting into the debt I have was easy; A purchase here, a trip to target there, a coffee with a friend, drinks a couple nights a week or a simple trip to the mall I thought brought me happiness.

I'm now tuning into the fact that getting things that I can't afford brought me nothing but wanting more and feeling less happy.

So this year is going to be focused on my feelings of wanting and what being satisfied in life mean to me. Both of these lie within me and my contentment is what I choose it to be. Right now I am content and am becoming energized by the snowflake game that one day will set me free from debt and the power savings game will officially begin.

Seize the day and the year and know that your contentment is within your own power.
